The 2024 joint convention of the Georgia Association of Agricultural Fairs (GAAF) and the South Carolina Fair Association will be held January 25-27, 2024, at the Emory Conference Center Hotel in Atlanta, GA. The Emory Conference Center recently completed a multi-million-dollar renovation, and its’ staff is anxious for the two fair associations to return. The hotel and staff received incredibly positive remarks during our 2019 meeting there.  2024 should be even better.

Georgia President Chris Hafer said plans are already underway to ensure positive programs and opportunities for both fairs and associate members to have memorable and profitable experiences at the conference. Plans to enhance the trade show attendance include up to four opportunities for attendees to vie for special prizes to be given away during the shows.

On the fair side, three excellent keynote speakers are expected while five educational workshops are planned.  The workshops will apply to any size fair from smaller to larger fairs.

Hafer said the purpose of the annual joint convention is to inform, trade, educate, motivate, and inspire. He further stated that the networking opportunities of the gathering alone should make attendance worthwhile. 

The programs also include silent and live auctions which fund college scholarships for youngsters and leadership training for 4-H and FFA members.
